About Me

My name is Alphonso C. Burks and this is my first blog. I'm a student at Jackson State University and I am a Civil Engineering Major. I was an Art Major here at Jackson State, but due to the fact I had hard times paying for school I changed majors to Civil Engineering because I want to design building and structures and they offered me a scholarship so I jumped ship.

Even thou I changed majors I am still an artist and I’ve gotten better through the years. I really started to focus more on Anime and Comics Styles of doing my artwork. It’s really has been awhile since I produce any work. Being an Engineering Major doesn’t allow me to have free time as much as I use to. So whenever I get a chance I do some artwork if a get a break from work. You can see all of my artwork is on DeviantArt.com.

Deviantart is an art community I joined a couple of years ago. This site allows all artists to share and enjoy each other artwork. I have established myself well on there and I really have a fan base that enjoys my work. If you ever get a chance you should check out my artwork. I know it’s doesn’t show all I can do on Deviantart but I am a very talented graphic artist.

Hopefully when I finish college I can start work on my company I want to start. I want to develop and Graphic Design/ Production Company. I’ve already came up with a name I want to us that’s DarkCore Entertainment. And in this company I want to do some work with the movie and gaming communities. But I should try taking some business course so that the company that I wanted to develop doesn’t flop. That's just one goal I have decided to do.

I'm not one sided and will be open about various issues and topics ... almost anything. I like to hang with friends. Occasionally watch TV or grab a book to read. Cook various dishes when I get a chance. Also I like to try and do new things when ever I can.

Right now I’m making this blog for my class here at Jackson State University. The class is called Introduction to the Internet. This class shows us how we can use the internet in various ways. I’m enjoying the class and when I finish I’ll well have more knowledge about using the internet.
